Better than a Cuisinart Food Processor as far as I am concerned.
Bought this to go along with my Kitchen Aid Mixer. I own two Cuisinart Food Processors as well. I wanted the versatility that the Kitchen Aid Food Processor offered. The shoot on this one is not as big as the one on the Cuisinart, but the overall versatility makes up for it. If I need a bigger shoot I will use my Cuisinart. The slicing disc is spectacular. One blade and you can slice in different sizes just by moving the slider knob on the side. It is just that easy. I did a squash and did a full spectrum of slices just because I could, I can't do that with my Cuisinart. Also, the dicing disc is just as spectacular. I am sold on this product just between those two discs alone. I diced 1 onion and 2 bell peppers in less than a minute. (see picture). The dicing disc you have to place the disc in just right and then this other part on top of it, but once you figure it out the first time it is a no brainer. I had to literally go to the instruction manual to assemble the unit for the shredding and the dicing disc. The shredding disc you need a spacer which they give you, but it took me going to the instructions to figure that out. Nonetheless, once you get past the initial how-to operate, it is easier to operate and clean than my Cuisinart. I can do more as I am not limited to 4-cup, 7-cup or 12-cup...I can keep going and going as long as I have a bowl under it to catch it all. So, great flexibility with this. Easy to clean and what I love the most is it comes with a storage disc holder unlike my Cuisinart where I had to buy my own disc storage holder separately. Second Photo shows: 3 squash and 3 zucchinis diced in a matter of a couple of minutes.
