This is my third Breville juicer. I was not 100% happy with the Elite model (a little messy and awkward) and even the Duo (threw giant chunks of produce violently into the pulp bin), but trusted I had the best option available. Periodically, I pondered making a switch from the centrifugal to a masticating juicer — but I knew all that peeling and tedious chopping wouldn’t work for me. I continued to hold out for a new Breville model. I kept coming across this Juice Fountain Cold, but the much lower cost whispered “lower quality” and so I passed it up. Until now. All I can say is “wow.” I’m so impressed! This juicer is amazing! It’s soooo much quieter, lighter weight and efficient than the Elite or Duo. The larger pitcher and angle of the juice output spout alone were worth the change. But the juice, oh! the juice! It’s simply lovely. Deeper, richer, brighter colors and so much...um...juicier taste. Plus, the “hood” fits into the pulp bin like a glove. No splattered bits and pieces whizzing across my kitchen. I wish all the non-motorized parts were dishwasher safe (the hood and pitcher aren’t). But a little washing up is a small price to pay for such an improved juicing experience. I couldn’t be happier.
