Thinking of video security?? This is the one!
If you have need of a security camera system this is the one. I spent hours researching and checking out different systems in person. Overall this system stood out significantly over others. Pros: - higher resolution. This is so extremely important. Higher the resolution means that you can see identifying information from further distances. Most systems stop at HD 1080 or 720. Reolink takes is another step past that. - PoE. Power over Ethernet allows extremely fast install as you only have one cable to run for the signal back to the recorder AND power. It also means that any holes you need to cut in your walls are much smaller. - The quality of the Ethernet cable is very nice, very flexible and easy to pass through tight spaces. - Multiple ways to access the video feed. Bring able to use my laptop/desktop, phone, tablet, or the Reolink recorder to access the interface and recordings is really nice. Especially when it came time to position the cameras. Bring able to see the camera view in my phone made the process a cinch. - The motion tracking system is great for maximising the recording time and minimising unneeded recordings and alerts. - Plenty of other cameras for specific needs that are 100% compatible and just plug. - Lots of extra ports for more cameras Cons: ( these are rather minimal) - mounting screws strip very easily. This is a very common problem with screws in general now days. I really suggest not bothering with the included ones and great a pack of number 6 wood screws - Setting the motion sensitivity is a little tricky. Not really a complaint, but it does take a fair amount of tinkering to get it right for your needs. I suggest taking your time and don't expect to get it correct the first time.
