I don't like these folks for a few other reasons. However, those here leaving 1 star reviews stating its not food safe are not reading the stamp on the barrel correctly. It clearly states do not REuse for food or water. The barrel is brand new. Once filled with water, and used, you should not REuse it for food or water. The reason is the same why it's dangerous to REuse BPA free food safe water bottles, cups, etc. There are small cracks in the surface that can and will harbor harmful bacteria which can really make you sick. In a 55gal barrel, it's darn near impossible to sanitize it for safe REuse. These are just fine for storing emergency water. Just dont REuse it or you could get very sick.
