Hail the Queen!
I don't even know where to start with this review. You think you're prepared for this book, but you are not. NOT.EVEN.CLOSE.
Buckle up kids because this ride is about to get bumpy.
On a side note, one of the reasons that I love the Brayshaw series so much is because of Raven. As much as I love Maddoc, Captain, and Royce, Raven is in a category of her own. She is one of the strongest and most selfless characters I have ever read, and I have so much love and admiration for her. For a girl who came from nothing with no one to depend on, she is fiercely loyal to those she loves and will stop at nothing to protect them. And she does it without hesitation and full of conviction. She's a born leader because she leads by example. Her actions speak louder than her words. And in my opinion, a true leader will not ask of others what they're not willing to give of themselves. Raven isn't just a leader, she's a queen. The evolution of her character has been amazing. She was bad@$$ in in the first two books, but she really comes into her own in Reign of Brayshaw.
Meagan Brandy hits you hard and fast in Reign of Brayshaw, and the hits just keep on coming. The secrets, the deceit, the players - she kept my head spinning the whole book and I had no idea what was coming next. This book was an EPIC read.
I know Reign of Brayshaw is the end of Maddoc and Raven's story but I can't wait to see what she has in store for Captain and Royce. And Bass Bishop. Because that boy deserves all the things!!
