I've been using this chair now daily for more than a year. I'm an amputee and don't wear my prosthetic all the time, so this chair functions as my daily office chair as well. I'm a big guy, but I have found this chair to be really comfortable to sit in, quite easy to maneuver outside, even on irregular terrain, and quite easy to fold and throw in the trunk of the car by myself. Especially at the price, this would be a five star chair, except for one week point and that is the arm rests. While the padding is fine, each arm rest is on a hard plastic base that attaches with two screws, and this plastic is prone to cracking, especially if you are heavy and transfer in and out of the chair a lot. I've cracked two sets in 14 months. Drive Medical replaced the first set under warranty at no cost to me. However, when I went to purchase another set a year later, I found them to be very expensive at $30 each plus shipping. The good news is that Drive Medical was kind enough to refer me to a distributor that had them at about half price, and even had a set of universal armrests at half that price, bringing the replacement cost down to less than $10 per arm rest. In light of the low cost of this chair, I can live with that. I ordered two sets just to keep a pair on hand for next time. There is another little point that is so minor it is probably not worth mentioning, and that is that there are some little black plastic hardware covers over some bolt heads near the front wheels. These pop off quite early and get lost, but since they only serve an appearance function, I don't really care. Overall, I'm well pleased with this chair, especially given that I only paid a little more than $100 for it. And, if you are not 250 pounds like me, and transferring in and out of the chair constantly, I doubt you will ever have a problem with the arm rests. I'd buy this chair over again without hesitation.
