Shipping on this was pretty fast, it came within a week. First I need to say that I have never slept on a memory foam mattress before, never even sat on one so I was a little skeptical about buying this especially online. It came all rolled up in a big box, very heavy too. My daughter and I managed to get the box upstairs to the bedroom. We cut it open and cut the plastic off of the mattress and it automatically started to rise up. There was no odd chemically smell, there was no smell at all. We left it in the bedroom on the floor for 2 1/2 days. The first day most of it was at 8-9 inches. The 2nd day it was at 11inches. The only part that had trouble rising to 11 inches was the corners of the part that was rolled up tight in the center. But they made it to 11inches the 2nd day. I have to tell you I have gotten the best sleep I have ever had since I started sleeping on this mattress. It’s soft and firm at the same time, it’s hard to explain. I don’t sink down into it, and I am not a real skinny person. I have a little meat to my bones. I love everything about this mattress and it is by far the best purchase I have made in a long long time. Oh I almost forgot, I am a woman in my late 40s and menopause has been visiting me for awhile now, I have hot flashes on top of hot flashes and this bed is not hot or doesn’t make u sweat at night at all, if it did I wouldn’t be able to sleep on it. So if your looking for a good memory foam mattress, look no more, you won’t regret it.
