A Really Good Deal For A Small Recliner.
This recliner is made to order for smaller persons. I am 5'1" and weigh just over 100 lbs. It works perfectly for me (plus one cat)! The material is smooth and soft, though not so soft that it pouches or wrinkles. It cleans easily with a damp cloth. Once ordered, it arrived very quickly (about a week before I expected it) and it was easy to unpack. Make sure the box is sitting right side up (that is, not with the writing upside down), and then carefully slit the tops of two opposite sides. Look inside and you will see the already-assembled seat and sides of the chair, with the top sitting right behind. Slide the chair out frontwards from each side, then take out the top. Unwrap the top and you will see that it slides down over two metal pieces at the back of the chair. Be sure to push the top down all the way, so that the opening between the seat and top is small. (The feet for the chair are in a separate bag under the chair).
This said, when you're sitting in the chair, you must be able to push back with some strength in order to bring the footrest all the way up, because there is no side stick to pull--the operation of the chair is completely manual. Smaller persons with back problems may want to consider this potential problem. Also, sleeping in this chair may be problematic, since it has no cushions or wings on the back to support you when you lean to either side.
