I was a little skeptical about electric descalers. I did some research and I discovered this technology has been around for a while and it works. I ordered the Yarna product and am very pleased. I noticed the change in the water within a day. The minerals aren't removed from the water just like it says in the product description. They are neutralized because the sharp edges on the limescale particles are smoothed out therefore the calcium and magnesium can't stick to anything. I compared glasses that went through the dishwasher to glasses that were washed the week before. The result was amazing. The ones recently washed (after Yarna installation) were crystal clear. The ones washed the week before looked cloudy. I also noticed that wherever water ran on bathroom fixtures and dried up you could easily remove the deposits with a simple wipe of a cloth. Before you had to use CLR descaler and lots of elbow grease. Also noticed that my hot water boiler (used for making hot water for tea and coffee) that I now fill with tap water is not getting any scaling in it. I could never use tap water before in the boiler because it would get full of scale within a very short time. I had to use distilled water before. Now I can fill it straight from the tap. I'm very pleased with this product.
