First, I thought that this was an awesome case. I went through around 5 or 6 with my past iPhone so I have experience with a pretty wide variety of manufacturers ranging from Otterbox to LifeProof to generic no-name cases. Pros to this case: These have been covered very well from some of the other reviews, so I won't beat a dead horse with my review. When you first get the case, you'll notice the soft rubber component is a lot "tighter" than most two piece cases, and is made out of a more sturdy material then otter boxes and generic cases. A front screen protector is built into the case, so you don't have to worry about bubbles from installing your own. All of the ports in the phone are covered for water-resistance as well as a thin film over the home button so that the finger print scanner still works. The three back panels are easy to change and stay in place very well. I'm not overly rough with my phone, but it will take a few hits and falls here and there, and I feel like this case will do a good job protecting it. Water resistance is very nice selling feature, since I can talk on the phone in the rain or have the phone down at the bar and not worry about someone spilling a drink on it. (EDIT: Read Updated cons section) Cons to this case: Water 'resistance' is suspect, Cosmetic Issues , One issue with the fingerprint scanner First off, do not trust the 'water resistance' on this case anymore than you would your average case. I accidentally dropped the phone in a puddle of liquid, back of the phone down (no deeper than 1/8th of an inch, phone was not even close to submerged) and after I picked the phone up, and looked at it a few minutes later I noticed condensation near the camera port and apple logo in the back. Took the case off to discover water had found it's way in. It wasn't enough to damage the phone, but it was only in the water for a second or two, and I'm pretty disappointed that the case let in the amount of water that it did in the short amount of time I had dropped it. The screen protector isn't very good at staying scratch free itself. I know the point of it is to protect the phone, but I noticed a few pretty significant scratches in it within the first week of use, and unlike standard screen protectors, you can't peel this one off every few months and replace it if it gets scratched. Not a huge deal if you don't care about a scratched screen protector, it's just a little annoying on a new phone. Also mine has an issue where it looks like there's water in-between the screen and case (making the case look like it has bubbles in between it and the screen.) I've taken it out and tried cleaning both the phone screen and case with a microfiber cloth just in case their was moisture, but it seems pretty permanent. The back colored component I had on (the light grey one) is peeling around the edges and the circle cut out for the apple logo, which I added a picture of to the product page. Purely cosmetic, but again, it makes a very new case look shabby when the clear coating over the colored portion is peeling. I've experienced chipping / peeling on one other case before, but that was a cheap-o no name brand. I'd expect a case that retails for $60 to be a little better with the durability of it's cosmetic components. UPDATE: Newtrent replaced the back panel of my phone. This replacement panel worked well but after another month it too is peeling. Great customer service, but I really wish the replacement held up better than the original The last con is the film over the fingerprint scanner. It came out of the box with a crease in it that hasn't become any better with use, judging from the pictures of others this may be just my case. And while I don't have much experience with other cases for this phone that incorporate a protective cover over the scanner, mine only works about 75% of the time, and never works if my hands are wet at all (I don't expect it to work after I dip my hands underwater, but even the tinniest bit of moisture seems to confuse the scanner with the film on, didn't experience it as much with no case. I am not sure if this is specific to this case or all cases with films over the scanner.) Overall / Scoring Breakdown : It's a good case that will protect your phone from bumps and falls, but fails to protect when it comes to even small amounts of liquid which I took 2 stars off for, since that was the real reason I was drawn to this case instead of comparably priced cases . I do believe that a case should also be cosmetically appealing, so I'm doing a -1/2 star for the two cosmetic issues I've had within the first week, and another -1/2 star for the fingerprint scanner not working as well as it does when the phone is out of the case. If you're interested in a (relatively) inexpensive case that protects your phone against falls and dust/dirt, give this one a whirl. If you're like me and want a case that protects your phone and maintains its appearance for a while, this case may not be the one for you. 3RD EDIT: Newtrent customer service sent me a new back panel, this time without the rubberized coating on it. It has so far been much better in resisting chipping or peeling. Will update further is it starts to wear prematurely again, but this case is now holding up much better, so I'm upping my review to 4 stars
