4" Turbo-back exhaust
Instead of buying a powdercoated exhaust I bought an aluminizied exhaust and painted it with Rust-oleum. It saved me $500 on the price of the exhaust and still has the desired effect. First I cleaned the exhaust really well with industrial cleaner, then dryed it off. Then with everything layed out I used a high grit sand paper (400 or higher) on all sides to rough up the surface of the exhaust and then wiped it down again to ensure there are no metal flakes left over. After it dried I put 3 coats of Rust-oleum high heat flat black paint so that is doesnt rust, and now a year later the exhaust still looks great. It did take like 3 or 4 cans but ended up saving me a bunch of money in the end. I am very please with the product and have used it on my grill as well. I have used the regular Rust-oleum to paint all my skid plates and parts of the frame. Just with a little sanding and painted over it. I know its not a forum but hopefully this helps other people. Thanks
