From the darkness, a hero rises!
Weary from my struggles to maintain a reliable WiFi connection through three walls, a couple of roofs, and a bevy of grumpy poltergeists, I braced myself to undertake the unthinkable. I would run 150 feet of cable from my router to my PC. I would dare the ruinous inferno of an attic at the apex of Mississippi summer heat. I would drill through walls. I would crawl, sweating, through tight spaces. I would cuss like a hornet-stung sailor as I banged my head repeatedly on every joist and rafter -- but by all that is holy, I would install this fine cable. And install it I did, gentle readers. I used a 5/8 inch spade bit to drill the holes. I secured the cable -- which is smooth, well-made, and yes, even brave. And when I at last plugged my computer into the far-away router, I achieved peace.
This cable works perfectly. It withstood the rigors of an indoor installation with ease. It did not kink, or bind, or complain. It works, the connectors are sturdy and reliable, and I believe it will serve well for many years to come.
I did take pains to keep it at least a foot from all house wiring. Three feet if the house wires and the cable happened to run in parallel. My signal is fast and clean. I didn't spend much money. Good on you, computer cable. Good on you.
