I have to admit I was somewhat skeptical about purchasing this product as I felt it might be a low quality solution. I have never used this type of water softener in the past this is my first one. This unit was about $75 more expensive than others in its class but I hoped the extra money would make a difference. When I received the product I opened it and was very impressed with the packaging and the feel of the components. The main unit is solidly built and the ribbons are strong yet easy to work with. I installed the unit in about 45 minutes as it took some time to get a clear position on the piping overall I found it easy to install and was quite happy with the placement of the LED's to confirm power and signal at the plug and the unit. We are on a well and have always just lived with the hard water. When I got in a shower a few hours later I was amazed at the softness of the water. The unit worked flawlessly. We are looking forward to seeing the extended benefits of softer water on our appliances and around the bathroom. Finally I noticed the unit was U/L listed. When a company takes the time and expense to get a product UL listed it says that they are serious about what they sell. My hats off to this group the additional cost seems well worth it in then end.
