I don't know how these work ... but they do. If it is placebo, I am pleased as peas. If it is not placebo, all the more power to it. This doesn't make the creepy crawly achy oweees weighty ouches go away completely, but when it is bad enough to keep me up or prevent me from being able to fall asleep, three of these under the tongue does the trick in 15-20 minutes or so. If it is psychological, I don't care ... and it sure is working than other things and with no side effects besides ... It also helped a teenager with growing pains who couldn't sleep at night when legs felt heavy--gave it a try (teenage shrug 'whatever' style) and reported that it "actually helped" (two word utterance as feedback from a teenager is already pretty high praise successful, I would say!).
