These are great for rough play! They really do have a thicker almost like carhart type material on the knees. Exactly what I was looking for. I wondered if the knees were just padded more or actually a material that was more resistant to wear and shredding. Great for my son who won't quit sliding on his knees and can turn a pair of snow pants into shorts. These at least will have half a chance!
