I did much research on many of the different heated mattress pads and am very pleased with this model. A few "bonus" options on this model that are not noted in the product details: 1. Time Set You can set the time on the controllers (see why you'd want to do this in #2) 2. Set time for Pre-Heat By setting the time (see #1) you can also set a time for the mattress pad to start the pre-heat function. This is a fabulous option if you go to bed at a similar time each night (like I do). The bed is nice and toasty when I am ready to go to bed and I don't have to remember to turn it on. 3. Auto-off choice of hours The controller has a choice for the number of hours you want the unit to stay on before turning off. The choices are 2 hours, 6 hours or 10 hours. The unit comes pre-set at 10 hours. For myself the 2 hours is perfect. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. No more cold feet or legs when I get into bed anymore! As others have stated this unit can get very hot - i usually have mine set at 3 or lower. Well worth the money. You won't regret this.
