I spent a good deal of time trying to determine the difference between the GR-300 and the GR-150. All the specifications of the grills seemed to be the same, accept that the GR-300 has a display for the temperature and timer. I did not see how this small difference in functionality was enough to justify the difference in price. One small difference in the videos made me investigate further, but I did not see the difference described anywhere, in the owners manuals or on the cuisinart web site...but the video showed me something. Did anyone else notice it? Or did I completely miss some reference to the difference? WELL! I purchased the GR-300 and also inadvertently purchased the GR-150 and confirmed my suspicion of the difference! (I returned the GR-150) While the grill/griddle plates are removable and easy to clean, the BIG difference is that with the GR-300 the heating element is sandwiched BETWEEN the grill/griddle plates. The heating elements on the GR-150 are exposed beneath the grill/griddle plate. Though I did not test, it would seem that the GR-300 would heat up more rapidly since the heating element is part of the plate structure itself. I also like that the readout panel shows you the settings. I have made a number of dishes on the gr-300 and really enjoy using it. Very easy to clean up. It takes a few minutes to get up to 450 degrees, but it's a very nice, sturdy unit.
