This is for people who don't know how these work. Or person. I am sure there is some person who doesn't know how they work. The Faucet Cover is basically half an igloo cooler made of styrofoam. Inside the cooler is a rubber loop. The rubber loop is attached to a rubber strip which comes through the styrofoam. You loop the rubber loop around your faucet and push the open end up against your house. There is soft foam surrounding the open end to provide a good seal. You then pull on the rubber strip and use the attached locking mechanism to lock it into place snugly against the house. You are done. Now this works by magic. The igloo acts as an insulation to keep the outside cold out. (Or really, the inside warmth in.) The warmth inside comes from the conductive nature of both water and the pipes themselves. The water and pipes inside your house are warm. That heat is carried down the pipe to the faucet, and kept inside the igloo by the igloo insulation magic. And then your pipes don't freeze and your wife doesn't cry. Good product. Use these. Don't make your wife cry.
