Superb quality at a very reasonable price! EDITED 11/27/2020 NOT AS GOOD AS BEFORE EDITED 12/2/2020
I practice the art of Falconry-I hunt with raptors. The picture is my passage Redtail hawk that is used for squirrel hunting. Most falconry bells are over $30 for a pair. I seen these bells over 1/2 the price, and figured I would give them a try. Raptors are hard on bells. They crash into brush, trees, briar patches. So far, between the 2 hawks I have and hunt with, these bells hold up to the beating of a Redtail and Harris hawk. They are loud enough to hear my hawks over 100 yds away. I see myself using these bells for years to come.
Update:
I ordered a set of small bells for my Harris Hawk. I am extremly pleased with the overall quality and sound of these bells. For the petite sizes, they are loud enough for me to locate my hawk every time he moves.
2nd Update 11/27/2020
I ordered 2 pair of small and a pair of medium bells. I sent the meduim ones back, as they were nowhere as loud as the previous bells purchased. I got the 2 pair of small bells, and they are just as quiet. I compared the new ones to the ones I ordered last year. The ones I got last year was TWICE AS LOUD as the brand new ones. The old ones have been on my hawk for months now and they are still louder than the brand new ones. I am displeased with the last 3 sets of bells. They cannot be made with the same materials as the ones I got over a year ago.
3rd update
I was able to get in touch with the company. They corrected the problem with the bells not being a loud, and offered to send me 2 pair of replacements for the 2 sets of defective bells I have ordered. 100% satisfied and they offered great customer service! Back to a 5 star review!
