I used to buy the Cottonelle Ultra, but it seems to have evolved into Ultra Comfort Care; whatever. I started buying Ultra because one time when shopping for my 89 yr old father, he said "get the Cottonelle Ultra--it costs more, but it's worth it." Now, you need to know my dad grew up during the great Depression, and not one of that generation has ever spent one cent more than they absolutely had to. My Dad only ever owed money for our house mortgage, and THAT kept him awake at night. For him to 'give me permission' to spend more on one TP brand than another was rather striking. I bought his, I used it, and whadda you know? Dad was right. It is worth more, because it's kind to one's bum. It's thick, I think that's its most distinguishing characteristic. You need less to do the job than with other, 'lesser' TP. Dad's been gone for 4 yrs now, but I continue to buy Ultra (comfort care) via amazon.com Subscribe & Save. I pay the premium because of the quality and so UPS can carry the big carton of 48 rolls up the stairs and I don't have to.
