I was between this one and the all chrome/metal bar. I picked black because I'm a bad a** and thought it would add a mental edge as "Mike's All Black Olympic Bar". I assume Batman would have the same one. Unfortunately you slide some plates on and off with some wieght clips and the black paint starts stripping off and makes a mess on your hands/floor. It's kinda not worth it unless your making a ninja weight camp in the woods or something. The bar is still perfect weight, structure, durability... all the stuff you would ask of a steel metal bar. The bottom line is... get the silver metal or chrome finish. Black paint comes off and you're not cooler than Batman.
