I have been buying Composure for years, and I truly cannot understand the negative comments about this product. It is great, and let me explain why. I have nothing but rescues, all of whom came with medical issues to round out their lack of sociability. A couple of years ago, one of them was acting like her yearly vaccinations were a form of horrific torture. As this little demoness has defective vertebrae in her back, she should not be turning and twisting and giving an award winning performance of Taz on the cartoons. Suddenly, she broke loose from the vet and two assistants, and I threw up my hand to prevent her from going off the end of the exam table. She took that moment to bite completely into the fleshy part of my hand below my index finger. While growling like a cornered Wildcat in old Westerns, she looked right into my eyes with unmistakable anger at me for allowing the vet to cause her pain. As blood began to pour from my hand, she just gripped tighter. I ended up having to carefully shake her head up and down and back and forth to convince her to let me go. Needless to say, that made my hand hurt even worse. Finally, at what seemed like an hour later, she released me after one last venomous look that clearly said I deserved what I got. Now I had another problem. She was going to need those vaccinations again the next year, and that's where Composure came in. The next year, I gave her a Composure 30 minutes before our appointment, and she laid there without so much as a whimper while the vet examined her from head to bob-tail, including her defective backbone, her tiny ears with extra-hard cartilage, blue eyes, mouth with razor-sharp-needle-teeth and took her temperature before giving her two vaccination injections. Had I known about Composure a year earlier, I would have foregone that six weeks of pain before my hand eventually healed. Therefore, all I can tell you is that it works, and it works great. I have used it multiple times on five cats and experienced the same "chillaxed" reaction.
