The dark brown is VERY dark, almost black. Medium brown would probably match my hair better, but I like my brows dark so I'm okay with it. I LOVE the product. Its easy to use, and tinted very fast with little to no burn. Use vaseline/ petroleum jelly to outline your brow first for minimum skin staining. This will prevent the caveman look. Like I said, it WILL stain (as will any coloring product) and be extra dark for a few days, no worries because skin stains wear/ washes off in just a couple of days. I try to do it on a Friday when I know I'm off for the weekend and no one will see any stains I may have. I will definitely continue to buy this product, I love it. Im attaching a photo of one day post tint. Unfortunately I didn't take a before photo but I tried zooming in on an old photo I had and did a before & after with them. Good luck! EDIT: After using this multiple times now I can say I redo the tint about once every 4-5 weeks. The color lasts a good amount of time!
