My new favorite way to forget I'm having a period!
I'm a 32 yr old petite mom to 3: I had a moment not too long ago where I decided that "the world must have come up with a more comfortable, practical and sustainable solution to periods by now"... I hate the swamp of pads and tampons! So I went on a YouTube search and explored the world of menstrual cups. I ordered the Low Cervix FC and Love it like I couldn't have imagined to be possible!! I tried the Lunette size 2 first, even without the stem it was just Too Long. Even the MeLuna Shorty XL is a bit long for me! I'm hesitant to get smaller/shorter cups that don't have the capacity I need. I wear this cup with my new THINX period underwear and enjoy my newfound dry and free nether regions!!!!! A match made in heaven! http://fbuy.me/c1UY_ Femmycycle TIPS: • The 'punch-down fold' is the only one I like. It makes it the thinnest it will go. • Do a dry run a day not on your period to practice getting it in and out (before it's messy) • a small dab of water based lubricant on the tip works great if you need it (I don't) • WILL IT OPEN? Only the ring rim opens up inside, the 'bulb' body stays compressed and won't be a rounded ball as imagined (that's ok!) • TO INSERT: To get the ring to open up and for placement: Insert it and while doing a 'kegal' clench, slightly tug on the cup's 'pull handle' and then push up on the cup to make sure the cervix is not outside of the cup opening and that it's sitting properly (trial and error to know how it should feel) •TO REMOVE (especially if the cup has migrated up) bare down a bit to squeeze it out as you gently pull on the handle, moving from side to side to help break the suction. After practicing with other cups I'm so glad I gave this a try. It's my new best friend. I may also try the regular size since my cervix distance seems to fluctuate. It only leaked at first, before I figured out the 'clench-and-tug' to make sure the ring edge popped open.
