but not a great job. I found this Phillips 5100 and read ...
Ok,.....let me begin by stating I will not spend more than a $1.99 on anything without reading as many reviews as I can. When I find a common issue,....I decide whether that issue is important to me or not. I will then either purchase the item or move on.
I needed a new trimmer for my ears and nose. I have purchased a few different brands all with the rotary head in the past. They did a decent job,.....but not a great job.
I found this Phillips 5100 and read the reviews. It advertised itself as a trimmer for ear, nose and eyebrows. However there seemed to be a common complaint of it not working to well on the eyebrows. I thought to myself,.....it would be nice to have an eyebrow trimmer,.....but that was not the primary need I was looking for.
Now to be upfront,....I hedged my bet and purchased two types of trimmers. This one and one I had already purchased,.....but my wife somehow lost it. (Panasonic ER-GN30-K) I thought if I didn't like this new Phillips,.....I would just send it back.
Well it arrived today. I stuck the battery in it and went to town. I was cautious as someone else said it got them and it hurt. It went well and I had no gotcha incidents. As I grew more confident,.....I moved quicker and with more aggression. No problems. It did take a few moments to get used to the angle. You have to move the trimmer around realizing where the cutting edge is. (Doesn't take a rocket scientist) It did seem to cut closer than the rotary edger.
I then finished up with that head and decided to go ahead and try the other head with the trimmer on my eyebrows. It couldn't of done a better job. I am not sure why others had a problem. I just laid down the trimmer with the comb and moved it against the hair grain. It cut my eyebrows to a nice shorter length,....evenly.
To me this is a keeper.
