If you haven't already, DON'T watch the PBS broadcast of Sherlock Season 3. PBS edits the shows before airing. You won't see complete episodes. I found this out after Season 1, when I bought the DVD's (NOTE: you can get the DVDs earlier from amazon.uk, though you'll need an all-region DVD player to watch them). I realized I was seeing entire scenes that PBS didn't broadcast. A crucial scene in "A Study in Pink", where the murderer reveals his motivation, was cut short on PBS. So you never know until you watch the DVD why he did the murders. Really unconscionable of PBS to manhandle such a great series.
