When I got the mount, it was exactly as described, and I love it! It holds my phone securely and is great on my mini-tripod, tripod, and DSLR flash mounts. However, it apparently was brought to the Square Jellyfish's attention that extremely frequent use would degrade the spring in the mount I purchased. Rather than simply fix all new mounts and let mine possibly fail on me, they actually took it upon themselves to mail me an updated version of the mount with a letter that explained that a more reliable spring was in the new mount, and that all new mounts will be made the same way. Note: They did not ask me to write this review. These guys are AWESOME, completely UNHEARD OF service!
