Attention to detail could make this a stellar product. I had purchased a 10 pack of Swing-Away compact models as a donation to a food pantry. Discovered that the design of the compact model is different than the classic model and the quality control was the stereotypical CCC. This Made In USA (in Missouri where I now call home) looked great. I ordered two for gifts to young family members recently out on their own. They should never need a new can-opener again! These are MUCH stouter than the cheap chinese crap I had bought previously. The action is much smoother and feels like it should last a long time. HOWEVER, the burr side of the stamped steel parts was not deburred. I've seen worse burrs on utensil but this is not a premium end product. If I had looked at the photo closer, I would have seen that the edge was not finished properly (my opinion). I was tempted to file the edges smooth, but that would have removed some plating and exposed the carbon steel underneath. That would make it more likely to start rusting in that location. Very good design, just needs some attention to detail on the finishing notes.
