Safety First or Lose a Finger or Two!
They are cheap, orange, ugly, and (strong) plastic but they are sized well for wide range use, grip fairly well, and most important... they will keep your fingers on your hand. I'm now using these on a 700 lb., 5 hp, Baileigh that will gladly leave you armless in the blink of an eye... ..with just a sneeze or a split-second lapse of concentration ...and I feel comfortably safe using these push blocks.
NOTE: If you are new to table saws do NOT let a push block give you a false sense of security. People still lose fingers while using push blocks (sadly, i've witnessed this) so respect the saw, operate ONLY if you are 100% focused on your work, and NEVER let the fact that you are, at any second... just an inch or so away... or just one, slight distraction away....from having a body part amputated...NEVER let that VERY REAL fact leave your mind while working, never move your hands towards, or reach in to grab your work at the blade until the motor COMPLETELY STOPS spinning. Wait 'til you hear SILENCE before a move.. Even as the blade slows to a halt, even that very last (slow) spin or two can still amputate a finger. Even when using these safety blocks, RESPECT THE SAW!!!
