I have used this color for a while now and I prefer this new formula A LOT! I am very gray but I still prefer to use this instead of permanent because it is softer as there is no harsh mark at the roots when it starts to grow out. I only apply this to my new growth so the ends stay light, I apply coconut oil to the ends so that the color isn't absorbed when I wash it out. Once I apply the color to new growth, I leave it on for a full 25 minutes. Rinse out in sink, apply the conditioner that comes in the box - DO NOT WASH - and voila - that's it!
