Update: 4 years later, I still have this pair of shoes--my go-to water shoes. 11 JUL 2020 Picked up a pair of these shoes for my last vacation, where I was going to need a closed toe shoe that would also work in the water. Found these as a fluke, the only pair in the store I was looking in (because it was off-season) and I just didn't have time to wait for a delivery from online. These shoes worked out perfectly, with one exception. As I was leaving the resort for my planned excursion, it was raining. The resort had marble flooring. I can't even tell you how many times I almost wiped out just trying to walk across that flooring in the rain. They had less than zero grip on wet marble. Out on the trail with rocks and dirt? Great traction. On slippery marble, zip. I've noticed in reviews I've looked up since that traction is one thing that this model gets dinged on, they sometimes recommend the Keen Newport H2 for better traction--I can't tell you if that's true as I haven't tried the Newports, but the tread patterns are very different. Other than that, they're very comfortable. I didn't notice any rubbing. I usually wear wide width shoes (the other reason I hesitate to order online if I'm not as familiar with the brand's normal fit) and had no problems with them. Pic attached is after I did my worst to them in the mud, sand and dirt. They rinsed right off, good as new.
