Cuts great in normal thickness grass and is light/easy to maneuver, self-propel would be pointless on a mower this light. Decent battery life, a 2AH battery will cut the front or backyard, use the 2nd battery for the other 1/2. Batteries charge quickly, the 1st battery will be charged by the time you need it for the string trimmer/leaf blower. The mower is well engineered and has a solid "real tool" feel to it. It DOES NOT have the power that my previous Honda mower had. Blade lift isn't as good, and it doesn't cut heavy/thick grass as well as the Honda. I also have the Greenworks string trimmer and blower, those DO have the power of the gas models they replaced. I was expecting the same when I bought the mower, but the power is only about 1/2 vs the Honda. I will say the Greenworks 80v is the most powerful ELECTRIC mower I've ever tried, electric mowers (corded and battery powered) I've tried in the past were a complete joke. The 80v Greenworks is totally usable as a normal mower.
