This is a nice, thick, well-made cat bed/cave. The top of the cave is firm enough to hold its shape when the cave is not in use or when a cat is inside the cave, but it's designed to squish down into a curved cat bed if you cat steps on top of it. In our case, this is a good thing: The cats have zero interest in going inside the cave (Perhaps this will change once winter rolls around?), but they love curling up on top of the bed. The more rambunctious of my pair also likes to lay outside the cave on his side and spin it around in circles with his front and back legs. It took my cats a few weeks to come around to their KittiKubbi -- they initially had zero interest in in -- but now that they have, it's nearly always occupied!
