Cost savings in ink, good quality, very easy to setup and use
This is my third Canon printer. I was an HP only user and fan for over a decade. Eventually I got tired of constantly replacing the four printers I use (two for business and two for personal use) and the high cost of HP ink supplies. I switched to Epson a number of years ago and was more satisfied with Epson printers and ink costs than HP. A little more than a year ago I began replacing some of the Epson printers with Canon printers. This is now our third Canon printer. We have less trouble with (required software updates) printer drivers than we did with HP or Epson. This is a fairly compact printer so it doesn't hold a full ream of paper like one of the larger Canon printers I have, but the print quality is every bit as good. The software/touch-screen operates about the same on this as my other Canon model. Google cloud print and other cloud services as well as walk-up printing for cell phones can be configured on-screen. It is not always intuitive as to where things are in the menus, but I've never had to consult a manual. Ink is readily available online for a fair price. I highly recommend the Cannon printers although I can also say the Epson printers are also good and I don't have a particular preference for either. If you are a current HP customer, I can strongly recommend replacing an HP with a model like this. You'll find that the savings in ink costs can pay for itself in a few months or even less depending on your ink consumption.
