It's a basic paper towel holder. It holds your paper towel rolls. It isn't designed to be a 1 handed or an automatic paper towel dispenser. These people complaining that it falls over when you pull a paper towel with one hand are absolutely insane. Do you know how heavy this thing would have to be to withstand the top heavy design / sideways force applied when trying to pull off a "sweet" one handed grab? If you thought this would do that based on the design and your lack of simple physics, that is your fault, not the manufacturers. Bottom line: If you want a classy, well-made piece of kitchen hardware to hold your paper towels, and you don't mind straining yourself by using BOTH hands, this is your item. If you are looking for a one-handed towel dispensing apparatus, an automatic dispenser, or a small child to hand you your paper towels, this isn't for you.
