Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I recently received a ASUS Windows 8 touch screen laptop that does not include a DVD drive. I did a lot of research to find a portable DVD drive that would work with Windows 8 - the ASUS External Slim Optical Drive works great with Windows 8. I was able to easily plug in the two USB connections (one for data, and one for power) from the DVD drive and insert the disc to load it onto my computer, but once I loaded a DVD movie into the drive nothing would happen. I found out that Windows 8 does not come with a program to play DVD's so I had to install one from the internet first. I chose Power DVD, and now I am able to play DVD's on my laptop. The DVD drive is a nice small size, and the diamond cut design looks very stylish. I love it!
