I use this stuff for almost everything. Cleaning sinks, bathtubs, toilets, calphalon pans, stainless steel pans, my grill, stainless steel anything, silverware, the kitchen sink, and best of all is the glass in our shower. I have tried EVERYTHING to get the hard water spots off of our shower glass, but CLR and Lime Away didn't do the job. I found this and BAM! With minimal scrubbing I was able to make my shower glass crystal clear. I've gotten so many hooked on this stuff and they keep telling me new uses for it. UPDATE: (January 19th 2011) This stuff is still amazing, but be aware that this is an acid and can eat through things if left on too long or not cleaned. ALSO, this is an abrasive! DO NOT USE IT ON CHEAP CHROME PLATING as I used this on a cheap shower trinket to get the soap scum off and the chrome began to crack, flake, and the metal rusted (this goes back to it being a strong acid). ALSO, I'm a man who is not a big fan of and do not condone the use of men using "Moisturizer". Using this stuff on bare hands can dry the hands out as it cleans them a bit too well. I tend to protect my delicate.. I mean manly hands with nitrile gloves. ALSO, do not leave the chemical on stainless too long. It will blotch it white if left on TOO long. My guess is that it eats at ferrous metals or possibly the chromium content. UPDATE: (11/9/2014) I've seen a specialist over the past few years and have been unable to break the habit. I'm still a heavy user. UPDATE: (6-3-16) I'm still going strong with this white powder! UPDATE: (2.10.2018) Low and behold the heavens have opened and I have found a new use! SOOO... you know that time when you excitedly bought yourself your first flux core welder and you were practicing using it and grinding the welds down? Remember when the wife said, "Be Careful!!!" and you thought she was worried about your safety, but was really worried about her driveway? Yeah, well I remember. Needless to say, all the ground specks of metal from grinding down welds to check my awesome new abilities ended up on the driveway. When the clouds came in and the rains came down we (If the wife is reading this, I) had stains all over the driveway. A few hours of pressure washing later and....50% removed. What does Bar Keepers Friend do? It can remove rust stains. I sprinkled a few cans all over the driveway after getting it moist (boy do I dislike that word). It removed 95% of the stains! Moral of the story? The wife needs to be more clear when she makes such generic statements! UPDATE: (6.11.2019) I found rust spots on the pool deck. I got the spot wet, sprinkled BKF on the spot, took my right hand pointer finger and rubbed it in and BAM!!!! Well, not really, I learned you have to wait a minute. I then used same aforementioned finger to rub it in and BAM!!!! This time it really went away.
