I had to get a new door but couldn't afford privacy glass so I ordered this film. The 1st picture is the door with no film. The 2nd is from the inside. The third is from the outside with the lights on inside around dusk. The last is during the day looking out about the same distance as if I cupped my hands on the glass to see inside. I wouldn't use it in a bathroom install but for an entryway it is beautiful. The film refracts the sun and creates rainbows all over the entryway. I would use it again in this type of install. To install I bought one of the film installation kits with a squeegee, solution and cutter. However, I wound up using Windex water & vinegar solution when I noticed it didn't have ammonia in it. I sprayed it until the smooth side of the film could easily slide on the glass removing the backing as I went down and kept adding more solution. The day was about 72 degrees and the windows were not cold. I should have trimmed it about an inch or 2 from the edge but after cutting crooked the first time I decided to try it without the trimming for my side window. Luckily the top window was narrower. I think an exacto knife would have worked better but it was still fairly easy since I had watched a professional install film. He said clean glass and lots of solution was key to the best result. He also used a dish pan tray to hold the film in a soapy solution before he put it on. I haven't noticed any new bubbles after a week. There were a couple of tiny ones near the bottom I couldn't get out.
