I was a little skeptical at first about buying a resin bird bath. I thought the resin material and verdigris color would look fake and tacky in my flower bed. But after years of having to periodically scrub my concrete bird bath and the same with a heavy metal one, I decided to try this and. the price was right for the experiment. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. I filled the hollow stand with sand as recommended and it stays in place perfectly. There are also stakes included which go into the ground unnoticeable and hold the base steady, I guess should some squirrel or other heavier critter hit in to it. I bought this with the little solar fountain that I stick in the middle. and it sends the cutest arch of water when the sun hits and the birds enjoy it. No water spills out from the fountain. I definitely recommend both purchases.
