A good beginner coop for your first couple of chickens
Coops in local stores run about $350-$400 for something that will hold a couple of layers happily. This was about $250 (on sale from the laughable price of $1000) and it certainly is on par with the ones I've seen in local stores. If you're reading too much into the photo (ie:imagining you can walk in and around it) then you'll be sadly disappointed, see my attached photo to see it comes up to chest height at its tallest. Pros: easy to assemble (3 hrs solo and I'm not handy), good design (includes two nesting boxes and a perch), light enough to easy move it around with two people, easy access to nesting boxes to get eggs. Cons: interior space tight if food and water are going to be stored there, hard to access interior from top, lots of wood has defects (chips, holes, etc.). Capacity: Two large breeds, three regular, or four bantams.
