I've installed very complex expensive DVR based camera security systems for doctors offices, pharmacies and even residential locations. I wasn't sure what to expect with this system. WOW! That's all I can say. Is it perfect NO NOTHING is not will be. But this system will work for most people. The video is ok. The audio is amazing. The thing pick up my neighbors talking at over 50 yards away. The intercom system is nice my wife used it to find the kids and tell them to come in or what ever. On the setting where it rotates cameras in the screen. If you set it to that and set motion record to low it will get any human and nothing else and auto record which camera they set off. This does record video. If your menu freezes up it's the recording press the back button and replay or delete it. All in all for what it is this thing deserves 6 stars. I didn't even mention the portable DVR monitor which is awesome. Don't hesitate and buy two extra cameras. You will be glad you did.
