The pump on my stainless Pioneer fountain seemed to no longer work. I found this item on Amazon, but before I bought it I did a Google search. Sure enough, Pioneer has posted a 5 min video explaining how to clean the pump. I used Q-Tip swabs with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and tap water, and after cleaning the impeller (the "fins" which spin and drive the water) and the hole which the impeller shaft fits into, the pump started working again. If you truly have burned out your pump, you probably need this, but if it just needs cleaning, give the instructions that Pioneer has posted a try. http://youtu.be/TYyTFv_u3Sw
