After what felt like 17 hours of painfully comparing vacuum cleaners and really not enjoying one second of it we stumbled across this one and bought it. Is it better than the others? We have no idea. Is it better than our broken one? Sure. Would I recommend it? Yes, if only to save you 17 hours of hell. It is fun to watch the dirt get sucked up into the canister. The cord is quite long. Assembly was easy. In fact, it feels like assembling a futuristic nerf.firearm. I feel like a hit man every time I put it together. That said, we tried to vacuum Venetian Blinds (for the first time ever), and really, nothing happened. The floor, that was a different situation. We have hardwood floors and no carpet except for a rug. It did a great job on the hardwood floors. No more crumbs from our boys who are very much in the business of making crumbs. Our rug we thought was clean, apparently not. There was so much grey fluff afterwards we had to clean the canister thing. We do not have pets, so pet hair is not a problem for us. We are going to keep this purchase and use it to clean our apartment. You know what? I, think you should, too.
