Love this! I read a great deal of reviews before using this and as many stated to do, I also believe the trick is to have the bowl in the freezer for quite awhile before use. I received my product on a Tuesday and after washing all the detachable items, I put the freezer bowl on one of the the very back shelves of our upright freezer until our first use four days later. After about 25-30 minutes, this maker dispensed soft serve ice cream just as I had hoped. (See picture) I used the classic vanilla recipe that was in the included booklet for our first attempt and we were not disappointed! Cannot wait to try more recipes!!! It is VERY easy to assemble as well as easily taken apart to be cleaned. I would say it took less than 10 minutes to clean everything and put it away and less time to assemble. We were very pleased with the results and my best piece of advice is to freeze that bowl in the back of your freezer for as long as possible before use and don't be so quick to dispense when operating! You can see through the partially open top just how the ice cream is looking so it was easier to judge based on what I could see. It has some noise while operating but nothing that would drive people to run from the room. ;-) It is rather tall so plan on a large enough storage space but it easily fits back into the Cuisinart box it comes in if you're like me and prefer to keep "specialty" appliances boxed in their original packaging for storage. I am so glad I finally decided to purchase this.....lots of fun sugary times ahead for our family!
