Great Supplement : Results in 2 Weeks
I discovered this item online when I was having one hell of a week. I had a yeast infection, an agitated GI system, an eczema flare up and a vicious case of PMS. I was miserable. This item had good reviews, people seemingly had reported to have positive results and after looking at the ingredients and reading up on it a bit more I decided to give it a try. So glad that I did! Like most supplements, it took about 2 weeks+ to start seeing full effects, but I noticed that I wasn't so lethargic after a couple days of use and that my GI troubles had simmered down a bit. After a couple weeks, I noticed positive changes in my skin and other areas of my health concerns. The pills are medium sized (about the length of a quarter) and not very thick. They're easy to swallow and don't stick to the back of my throat. When you open the bottle, it's immediately apparent by the smell that there is oregano in the capsules. As an Italian who loves her oregano, this is not a problem for me. I had read in a review that someone had posted about how they started to smell odd after taking this supplement. I know that sometimes with concentrated oregano oil, if you don't stay hydrated and you begin to sweat you might smell like soup. After reading that review I kept smelling myself and thinking "Will it happen? Will today be the day I smell like soup?" and low and behold...one day I didn't drink enough water, and I'd be damned if my underarms didn't smell like soup. I upped my water intake and I haven't had the soupy-smelling-side effect again. So if you smell like soup, drink more water!
I love the results thus far and these supplements have a lot of ingredients that I are all-over beneficial for maintaining a health body so after I am done with my 30 day supply/cleanse of 2 pills a day, I will absolutely get more and continue to take 1 capsule a day as part of my vitamin regimen.
I am not a doctor/nutritionist, but I use and believe in the benefits of a lot of natural remedies. For those that are unfamiliar, lets look at a couple of the key ingredients and how they apply to good health:
Oregano Leaf Extract: Has potent antioxidants and anti-bacterial properties. According to The Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database, in addition to being used to treat respiratory tract disorders, gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, and urinary tract disorders, oregano is also beneficially used for the following illnesses and conditions: colds, muscle pain, acne, dandruff, bronchitis, bloating, headaches, heart conditions, allergies, intestinal parasites, earache, fatigue and menstrual cramps.
Caprylic Acid: Proponents claim that caprylic acid has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties and can help treat health problems associated with the overgrowth of yeast, such as vaginal yeast infections, candida, and thrush. Caprylic acid is also said to treat fungal infections, such as ringworm.
L. Acidophilus: A bacteria that exists naturally in the body, primarily in the intestines and the vagina. Lactobacillus acidophilus has been used as a probiotic, or "friendly bacteria." L. acidophilus is one of the most commonly used probiotics used to promote health and there is supportive evidence for the use of L. acidophilus in treating vaginal infections.
Protease: Proteolytic enzymes are extremely important for the digestion of many foods, but their intestinal duties are not solely limited to digesting food. They also digest the cell walls of unwanted harmful organisms in the body and break down unwanted wastes such as toxins, cellular debris, and undigested proteins. In this way, protease helps digest the small stuff, so that our immune system can work hard to avoid toxin overload.
