I have been using the Bissell EV675 for about a week now and so far it is doing a pretty good job. My wife and I hsve had the Roomba 652 for a few years now and while they both do a good job, there are some major advantages and disadvantages between them. First, the Bissell is MUCH quieter than the Roomba. When my cats hear the Romba start, they wake up and run away. When the Bissell is running, the cats will sleep right through it. The remote on the Bissell is very useful. You can use it to control the movement of the vacuum. So if it misses something or you want to hit the same spot again, you can use the remote to move the vacuum back to that spot. The Roomba cannot do that and I would have to keep lifting up the vacuum up and repositioning it. The docking feature works much better on the Bissell then the Roomba. If I lift and move the Roomba snd hit the dock button, it seems to just wander around until it hits the dock. Sometimes, it never finds it. The Bissell, on the other hand, seems to know where the dock is even if I pick it up and move it, even to another room. The other major advantage is the battery life. The battery lasts 3 times longer then the Roomba. The Roomba does have 2 major advantages over the Bissell. First, the Roomba has no problem transitioning from hardwood floors to an area rug (unless the area rug has a very high pile). The Bissell gets stuck and can't seem to transition over, even on the thinest of rugs. The reason it can't make the transition form hardwood to rugs is the brush arms. They are pointed down which get stuck under rugs, stopping it from getting over the rug. The other disadvantage is that the brush arms don't seem to be long enough and if you watch it closely, it doesn't hit the edges very well. Overall I am very happy with the Bissell EV675. I was not aware that Bissell made a robotic vacuum and if anyone is looking for s robotic vacuum, I would recommend this product. While it is not perfect, it comes VERY close.
