Awesomeness as advertised!
To all fellow cold coffee haters; this mug lives up the ballyhoo.
Snippets that will make you buy it:
- 16oz's of glorious hot beverage throughout the work day
- well built / durable
- leak proof
- doesn't get that funky aluminum/steel flavor
- easy to clean
My wife has the same mug only without the handle so she can throw it in her purse. I chose this one because it looks more manly. (I decided to throw that in there because I used words like ballyhoo and snippets)
Like all mugs, you have to keep up with the cleaning. Immediately washing out the remnants of whatever libation you consumed will keep it from getting weird. After a couple times of taking out the o rings and reassembling, you'll be a pro. If you don't keep up with cleaning, it will start to taste like a muddled cocktail of high octane funk. So what I'm getting at is... Don't give it a bad rating because you're too lazy to clean it.
Some cons formed from personal opinion rather than mug defect.
* There is a little button in the center of the lid that shows red when the lid is closed. Pushing the button in will make the red go away and you are ready to drink. To me, red means stop, caution, armed, hot. So when I see red on a mug, it translates to "hot liquid will come out". I am often disappointed by this trickery.
* Finding the two sip holes can be problematic, especially in the dark or a rough morning. (Yes, I drink in the dark.)
I have lost a few battles to the lid's slightly confusing design. Some may argue its due to my own idiocy. Well, just wait till it happens to you! Bam.
Buy it!
Good day and drink on.
