My soap dispenser arrived today in minimal package (no plastic inside the box at all). Setting it up was quick and simple. As soon as I opened the Alexa app, it recognized the soap dispenser nearby and walked me through setup (wifi, add to room, configure routine). I filled the dispenser with gel soap as foaming soap isn't supported. After two attempts, it began evenly dispensing soap (I think it takes a few attempts to fill the pumps with soap). It's very responsive to hand gesture and dispenses soap based on proximity of your had to the dispenser. The high setting (hold hand lower) is perfect as I like a lot of soap. I wish there was some sort of label on the front to instruct people on the hand gesture feature. I included in in the routine I setup (see video). The routine seems to have a cool down period between uses of just a minute or so. I used a routine to increase brightness of lights, spoken reminder to close the toilet lid (pet peeve), provide tips for handwashing and to automatically turn the lights off (after 5 mins). I will play around with the routine for holidays and different times of the day, etc. I'm loving it so far! The dispenser is simple and fits well into my decor. I highly recommend. Uses micro USB which isn't an issue for me.
