YASSSSS. Slipcover perfection
Well, folks...I've been in the slipcover business for a minute. Covering up old, ugly couches is pretty much my thing. This is the best slipcover I've ever owned. Hands down. I ordered the 4-piece in turquoise for my 96"ish couch, which is a displeasing shade of early 2000's-ish brown in it's uncovered state. That was three months ago.
This bad boy will turn your ugly duckling of a couch into a graceful swan. It fits perfectly. I can tell that it would fit a wide variety of couch shapes and sizes. It comes with handy straps to secure the cover underneath your couch, so don't sweat slipcover slippage. Your slipcover has your back. It comes with two little noodle things to help keep the cover in place at the curved part where the couch's arm meets the back cushion.
The material looks expensive, washes incredibly well, and is luxuriously soft. I must emphasize that it washes incredibly well. After a wash and dry, it looks brand new. If I get something on the cover, I always spot treat it immediately but stains come right out. I've washed it at least four or five times and was very impressed. I can't believe it doesn't cost more, as I've purchased similar products from places like Target for $150+ and this one is so much better. It's a winner. The value blows my mind.
Now, a word of caution: putting this slipcover on is a challenge IF the back cushions of your couch are not attached to the couch itself. To put the cover on, you must take all six cushions off and put the cover on your couch. Then you have to awkwardly try to maneuver the back cushions into place without having the seat cushions to support. It's just a big lump. My point is positioning the back cushions is very difficult without the support of the seat cushions. I will include a picture to depict what I'm describing (it's the lump circled in red). Getting the cover situated right was a challenge the first time I put it on, but I've got the hang of it now. Sometimes I will keep the back cushions in place with safety pins before to make this easier, but if you do that take them out immediately afterwards because they will pop off.
The only other issue is that the individual seat cushion covers are a bit small for my cushions, especially the L-shaped ones. They stay in place for the most part, and don't slip up to reveal the fabric underneath very often at all. Not a huge deal, just thought I'd mention it in case anyone has very large seat cushions.
I am beyond pleased with this purchase. If you are considering this product, buy it.
