I am the owner of Apex Automotive and also a master certified installer. I wanted to clear up some of the reported problems with this unit as I have installed over a dozen with zero issues. First off I saw that a few reviews stated that the back up camera will not come on automatically, this is not the case. The positive signal of the back up light needs to be connected to the reverse input on the Jensen and it will quickly display the view of you back up camera. Second I saw a few users reporting various issues with the navigation, those users that explained how the mounted the gps antenna it was clear to me that their chosen location was the problem. The gps antenna needs to be mounted with a clear line of sight to the sky. If it's mounted under any panels or if there is anything between it and the sky you will have issues. Third I saw several instances of complaint in regards to the quality of the supplied microphone. If the mic is not mounted at or just above head level it will be too far away from your mouth and have trouble picking up your voice clearly. The fourth issue I came across was not being able to load CDs and DVDs. 99% of the time this is a result of not removing the to set screw on to of the unit that hold the DVD drive and laser in place during shipping. I also complaints of not being able to switch volume and we settings for each input. This is not the case you can do this easily from the supplied remote. This unit also has a hidden menu that allows for parking brake bypass, disabling macro vision ( so you can play burnt or download audio and video files) along with quite a few other features. The parking brake can also be bypassed by wiring the parking break wire, ignition, ground and remote turn on wire up with a relay ( spdt five wire ) if you need instructions for this look it up on YouTube. I hope this clears some of these negative reviews up as this is a very good product and has all the features of much more expensive units.
